SkillSeal Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy should be read together with SkillSeal’s Terms of Service, Refund / Credit Policy, Session Guidelines, Cookies Policy, Expert Terms where applicable, and other platform policies.

For clients, acceptance of the Terms of Service is intended to incorporate this Privacy Policy and the other client-facing platform policies into the client’s overall agreement with SkillSeal, to the extent applicable under law and platform flow.

For experts, acceptance of the Expert Terms and participation in SkillSeal’s expert onboarding and session-delivery flow is intended to incorporate this Privacy Policy and other expert-facing rules to the extent applicable to expert participation on the Platform.

This Privacy Policy applies to personal data collected through SkillSeal’s website, account registration, session flow, expert onboarding, customer support, payment processing, dispute handling, compliance operations, and other related platform functions.

We may collect account and identity information such as name, email address, login credentials, and profile details; session-related information such as selected category, subcategory, issue or goal description, uploaded files, chat messages, support requests, session metadata, and session recordings; payment and billing information processed through third-party payment providers; expert onboarding information such as CVs, portfolios, work samples, payout details, and tax-related details; and technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, cookies, analytics data, and log information.

All SkillSeal sessions are recorded for quality assurance, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, platform safety, service improvement, and performance review purposes.

SkillSeal sessions currently support voice communication and screen sharing only. Camera or video participation is not part of the standard SkillSeal session format unless SkillSeal expressly introduces that feature in the future.

Session recordings may include the client’s voice, the expert’s voice, screen-sharing content, and other session-related interactions that occur through the Platform.

We use personal data to create and manage accounts, match clients with experts, deliver sessions, process payments, administer the platform-controlled payment / escrow flow, issue Credits where applicable, review disputes and complaints, monitor quality and compliance, communicate with clients and experts, improve platform operations, enforce our Terms and policies, comply with legal obligations, and protect the security and integrity of SkillSeal.

We may share personal data with payment processors, cloud hosting providers, analytics providers, communications tools, customer support tools, legal and professional advisers, law enforcement or regulators where required, and other service providers reasonably necessary to operate SkillSeal.

We do not authorize clients or experts to use session data or contact details to move communications or services off-platform in violation of SkillSeal’s Terms.

We retain personal data for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Platform, maintain business and financial records, resolve disputes, enforce policies, comply with legal obligations, and protect SkillSeal. Retention periods may vary depending on the nature of the information and the purpose for which it was collected.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, update, or request deletion of your personal data, object to certain processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, and make complaints to relevant authorities.
